Common use

Precautions

Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, particularly colitis. Periodic assessment of renal, hepatic, and hematopoietic function is advised during prolonged therapy. Overdose

Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and electrolyte imbalances. In severe cases, crystalluria or renal impairment may occur. Management is supportive; gastric lavage and activated charcoal may be considered if ingestion was recent. Hemodialysis can remove amoxicillin from circulation.

Storage

Store at room temperature (15–30°C) in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Reconstituted oral suspension is stable for 14 days under refrigeration; discard any unused portion after this period. Keep out of reach of children.
